40
Hour Domestic Violence Training
WINGS will be offering a 40 Hour Domestic Violence
Training to individuals who are interested in
volunteering at the WINGS Domestic Violence Safe
House. This training is designed to prepare
attendees to work at the WINGS Domestic Violence
Safe House. Some of the topics covered during the
training are: the definitions of domestic violence,
myths and realities, the Cycle of Violence, types of
abuse, direct service issues, safety planning,
abuser profile, teen dating, issues in working with
battered women and legal issues.
The time and dates of the 40 Hour training are:
When: 2/26, 2/29, 3/3, 3/4, and 3/7
Time: 8am to 5pm
Place: 1355 Remington, Suite M, Schaumburg, IL
