1. Choose a position (see
Volunteer
Opportunities).
2. Please download and fill out the
Volunteer Application and 2
Reference Forms
. Email the application and forms to
blye@wingsprogram.com.
3. Once we receive your materials, we will
contact you to set up a volunteer phone
interview. This interview is an opportunity
to discuss your volunteer interests, as well as
your travel and time availabilities in relation
to our needs so that we can determine if our
volunteer position would be a good match for you
and the agency. If the position that you are
interested in is not yet open, we will contact
you when it becomes available.
4. If we agree that our open position is a good
match, you will attend a Volunteer
Orientation. These last for approximately 3
hours, are usually held on Saturdays, and are a
chance for you to learn more about our program.
5. Additional training is sometimes
required (example, the 40 hour training is
required for Crisis Line Volunteers).
6. Finally, you will meet with the staff
members you will be working with, and you will
get started!
